Investment Services Private Market and Finance

The Investment Services Private Market and Finance Department is responsible for investment services for the private market and financial management across the GIC group. It is responsible for providing operations and reporting support to the private market business of GIC as well as budgeting, accounting, payment processing, cash management, tax and financial & management reporting services to all departments, corporate management companies and the global offices of the GIC group. It is involved in deal structuring and closing, transaction processing, administration and accounting of investment holding companies, review of financial controls for asset operations, cash & securities reconciliation, valuation and financial reporting for assets under management, and external debt financing.

We are looking for a suitable candidate to join our team as an Associate (Private Markets Middle Office).


  • Support the Private Equities' asset class
  • Support the Investment Service Management team in all aspects of project deliverables, investment and data operations
  • Deliver strategic changes for ongoing process improvement requirements
  • Timely investigation and resolution of daily data exceptions and data quality issues
  • Participate in the review of existing processes to achieve higher efficiency and effectiveness
  • Contribute and partake in any other new data initiatives as a project team member, as and when required
  • Timely response to daily queries from Investment Professionals and other stakeholders
  • Build rapport with investment teams and various stakeholders to understand the business requirements and formulate solution
  • Monitor operational risks and upkeep the internal Key Risk Indicators ('KRI') dashboard
  • Coordinate and consolidate ad-hoc changes to the process manual
  • Preparation of routine reports for the various stakeholders
  • Device test cases and partake in User Acceptance Testing ('UAT')
  • Administrative support as and when required


  • Min 3 - 4 years of related working experience in Private Equity or similar role
  • Good degree or equivalent in Business, Finance and Accountancy
  • Proficient in using advanced Microsoft Office suite
  • Possess analytical skills and problem-solving skills needed to manage multiple factors simultaneously
  • Inquisitive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and willing to learn new systems
  • Fast learner, meticulous, proactive, innovative and self-motivated
  • Able to multitask with good project management skill
