Middle Office Manager - Crude/ Product/ Freight deals

As the Middle Office Manager, you will be responsible for evaluating, documenting, and ensuring compliance with crude, product, and freight deals. You will play a key role in executing prepayment and structured trade finance deals, managing accounts receivables/payables, and optimizing working capital limits. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will also oversee financial concurrence, contract review, and audit-related activities, ensuring adherence to risk management controls and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Evaluate, document, and ensure compliance with crude, product, and freight deals, including adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  2. Execute prepayment and structured trade finance deals, ensuring alignment with company objectives and risk management strategies.
  3. Manage accounts receivables/payables and working capital limits, optimizing cash flow and liquidity management.
  4. Handle secondary costs related to trading operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in cost allocation and reporting.
  5. Review demurrage calculations provided by the operations desk, monitor timely payment, and minimize costs associated with delays.
  6. Verify demurrage claims raised on suppliers' import shipments, resolving discrepancies and ensuring fair and timely settlement.
  7. Monitor and ensure sign-off/approvals of authorized signatories as per standard operating procedures (SOPs) and delegation of authority (DOA).
  8. Monitor and ensure compliance with risk management controls, identifying and addressing any gaps or issues.
  9. Provide financial concurrence and review of contracts, ensuring alignment with financial objectives and regulatory requirements.
  10. Oversee accounting, reporting, audit, and control-related activities, maintaining transparency and accuracy in financial records and statements.
  11. Prepare notes, workflows, and presentations as required by management, providing insights and analysis to support decision-making processes.
Educational Qualifications & Certifications:
  • Post-graduate degree with relevant experience (MBA in Finance or Chartered Accountant preferable).
Relevant (Functional/Level) & Total Years of Experience:
  • Relevant Experience: 4 years
  • Total Experience: 8 to 10 years
