Network Engineer

Scope:

• Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
• Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
• Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
• Handle request and perform necessary network configuration with co-ordination of team members.
• Coordinate the troubleshooting and incident root cause analysis for the managed equipment. It might include troubleshooting with other parties
• Review new release of vulnerabilities. It includes obtaining of firmware, schedule and coordinate firmware patching with testers.
• Perform configuration backup, update documentation and monthly report as per AFM tender on report requirement
• Perform works to comply with IM8 security requirements (e.g. security patching, address vulnerabilities, review of logs, etc).

Requirements:

• Proven hands-on network engineering experience e.g. LAN, WAN, Firewalls etc
• CCNA / CCNP or higher (CCIE and/or CISSP highly valued)
• Understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model will be advantageous
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
