Operations span all product lines and markets, serving as internal business partners who develop the processes and controls, and help to specify the systems that deliver accuracy, timeliness and integrity to our business.

Bulk Logistics and Commodities Physical Operation team is a high-value risk management team in Operations that is responsible for managing all physical aspects of our Commodities business. Working closely with other areas of the Company and Operations, the Logistics team controls the risks associated with a variety of transactions, and supports the commodities sales and trading desks providing contract drafting, invoice and settlement support to Physical transactions in Asia.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
• Interact with traders, strategists, and structurers in addition to middle office, legal, compliance, credit, IT, tax, product control and documentation teams in order to work toward the shared goal of risk mitigation.
• Partner with clients and vendors daily to provide the best possible service in managing our global physical delivery program.
• Work with a team of product experts to review all economic and logistical aspects of physical trades while gaining financial risk awareness.
• Showcase your attention to detail by ensuring that contracts and confirmations accurately reflect the terms agreed as well as identifying discrepancies in legal documentation and invoices.
• Leverage your quantitative skills in order to suggest best possible optimization opportunities in addition to reviewing complex structured transactions.
• Providing exceptional client service by building strong relationships with global Traders, global Sales, internal teams and counterparties
• Ensure trades are booked accurately into firm's books and records in a timely manner
• Working closely with internal stakeholders as well as external clients to draft Physical Confirmations correctly reflecting trading intention and all the terms and conditions as required by credit and legal, working closely with clients to ensure timely receipt of all confirmations
• Perform daily settlement of physical cash flows and assist in authentication of settlement instructions
• Monitoring of trade exceptions preventing trades from settling in time by working closely with Treasury and Funding teams
• Demonstrate a strong focus on controls and operational risk management and ensure escalation of issues on a timely manner
• Identifying areas for improvement to reduce risk and improve efficiencies and working with technology teams on solutions implementation
• Work on line initiatives and projects where required, Participate in the ongoing development of the team's processes and procedures required in order to support this developing business.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required Extensive experience in bulk logistics with a deep knowledge of the products and practices involved.
• Minimum 2-3 years of Documentation experience or Trades processing experience ideally within Physical Commodities
• Self-motivated and proactive team player, who takes ownership and accountability of projects and contracts, has strong organizational skills as well as the ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
• Proven technical and analytical skills, a control mentality with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong focus on control issues, processes and procedures.
• Ability to learn quickly in a fast paced environment, able to work well under pressure in order to meet deadlines.
• Aptitude for building relationships both inside and outside of the firm and ability to communicate effectively to a wide array of people with varying product knowledge.
• Previous experience in bulk logistics, either in base metals or LNG, highly desirable
• Must be a team player and have good communication skills
