An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operations Manager at a fast-growing securities broker in Singapore.

This role offers the chance to report directly to the Head of Operations and become an integral part of a dynamic team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in strategic development, implement new systems, products, and services, and offer guidance to junior staff. What you'll do:

As an Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of our client's operations. You will be responsible for monitoring the team to ensure accurate and timely settlement of trades. Your role will also involve carrying out end-to-end Corporate Actions and transaction operations for various financial instruments. You will be tasked with identifying trade breaks and performing reconciliations while also reviewing operational processes with a view towards automation/digitilisation. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the strategic development and implementation of new systems, products, and services.

  • Monitor the team to ensure trades are settled accurately and in a timely manner
  • Carry out end-to-end Corporate Actions and transaction operations for equities, mutual funds, and options
  • Perform daily reconciliation of securities positions and holdings
  • Identify trade breaks and perform reconciliations, resolving any discrepancies
  • Review operations processes, recommending potential automation/digitilisation
  • Participate in the strategic development and implementation of new systems, products, and services

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Operations Manager role will bring a wealth of experience from the Banking & Financial Services industry. You should hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline and have at least four years of relevant experience including one year of people management experience. Strong interpersonal skills are essential as you will need to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meticulously. Fluency in English and Mandarin is required as you will be communicating with Mandarin-speaking counterparts regionally. Experience managing a team within a fast-paced, dynamic environment will be highly advantageous.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
  • At least four years of relevant experience within the Banking & Financial Services industry with one year of people management experience
