Ops Accounting Analyst 2
Job Description:
Requires a good knowledge of the range of processes, procedures and systems to be used in carrying out assigned tasks and a basic understanding of the underlying concepts and principles upon which the job is based. Good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area. Makes evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual information. They are expected to resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and will be guided by precedents. Must be able to exchange information in a concise and logical way as well as be sensitive to audience diversity. Limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks/services provided.

Operational and Performance Management:
  • Responsible for day-to-day operational performance and leadership to third-party service providers
  • Ensure BAU activities are completed
  • Interface regularly with internal and external clients (as required)
  • Ensure plans for process improvements, enhancements, efficiencies and productivity are completed
  • Review and analyze metrics (regional/country) to ensure targets are met and deviations are explained and controlled
Supplier/Vendor Management:
  • Manage day-to-day vendor operations
  • Serve as a point of escalation
  • Partner with regional and country leadership to ensure compliance with standards and policies
  • Monitor the performance and address deviations to the supplier contracts, including performance (SLAs) and costs (invoices, incorrect prices, etc.)
Risk and Control:
  • Ensure all required controls are in place and identify key risk indicators, thresholds and actions if metrics fall below thresholds
  • Ensure compliance with global and regional policies and procedures while meeting local regulations
  • Provide input for and adhere to the country budget
  • Provide information for monthly expense reconciliations, variances and accruals
  • Identify process improvement and re-engineering delivery opportunities and develop execution plans in partnership with GS&T Program Office
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Good knowledge in excel and power point presentation is preferred
  • Ability to interpret large volumes of data and drawing conclusions.
  • Understanding/knowledge on posting accounting entries is preferred
  • Project Management will be good to have
Bachelor's degree or the candidate should have proven equivalent work experience
  • Ability to manage, juggle and prioritize projects/assignments within project deadlines.
  • Good in communication, documentation, and follow up skills.
  • Self-starter, quick learner, able to work in teams or independently, and knows when to escalate issues.
