Global Transaction Services (GTS) comprises of Cash & Trade, Securities Services and Fiduciary Services. In an increasingly borderless world marked by burgeoning trade flow, expertise in trade finance services is an invaluable asset. With cash the lifeblood of every company, so too, is a good understanding of how to manage these cashflows. Trade Finance, together with Cash Management, is the mainstay of GTS, and is extended to SME and corporate clients for their local and cross-border financial transaction needs.

Job Purpose

The Transactional FX Product Specialist role manages products & connectivity to bridge payments and FX capabilities to deliver seamless and differentiated solution to clients against the complex needs of our Corporate and FI client base. The successful candidate will be reporting into the Group Head of Payables Product, managing the delivery of key initiatives in the region to enhance the bank's payments and FX capabilities.

Responsibilities

As a Transaction FX Product Specialist, the successful candidate will work with our product specialists, sales personnel, and clients to clearly articulate challenges, product and solution requirements, market test our solutions to ensure they are fit for purpose and ensure seamless delivery of the product to the market. They will be responsible for identifying new market problems as they arise which impact product strategy and adjusting our target architecture to accommodate developing market conditions and regulatory landscape.

Key deliverables for the selected candidate are:
  • To be the subject matter expert for transactional FX, processes and insight into challenges faced by Corporate and Institution clients and the bank's solution offering.
  • Clear understanding of market dynamics - Record, Validate & Track Market Problems: Identify and document existing, evolving or new market problems for a given product.
  • Help define and drive changes to business processes to align with a target business architecture across all bank functions.
  • Develop an understanding of both the clients and the users of Transactional FX products to influence product design and rollout strategies.
  • Work as part of a global team to develop innovative product strategies, business plans and provide requirements to deliver compelling customer value propositions to market in an agile and sustainable way.
  • Manages stakeholders through development and sustaining strong working relationships with sales, RM, implementation, technology, operations, legal & compliance.
  • Understand end-to-end picture of product financials & product performance/health to ensure sustainable performance & product profitability.
  • Ensure that the operational risks associated with the functionality and processes are identified, analysed, resolved, or mitigated and controlled.
  • Ensure compliance with all local regulations and internal policies. Remediate and mitigate risk including audit and internal findings.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in product management and/or in domains of FX (foreign exchange) and cross currency payments.
  • Solid understanding of usage of FX in transaction banking (including FX pricing, booking and settlement process) and payment processing.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and ability to build strong working relationships at senior management level.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering results in an ambiguous and changing environment, the ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
  • Ability to function effectively under pressure in environments of rapid change and conflicting demands and crisis management, and possess creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, work under pressure with attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement, quality methodology and product delivery skills.
  • Technology or Operations management background are both plus points.
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in any related discipline.
