Retail Segments Portfolio Management Head - Vice President
The Retail Segments Portfolio Management Head (VP) is a role within Retail Bank, Consumer Banking reporting to the Head of Segments Strategy & Management. This is a leadership role responsible for managing the overall disciplined portfolio management from a segment strategy perspective across the entire wealth continuum from Mass Banking, to Emerging Affluent, to Affluent and to High Net Worth. In Citi, we name these segments Citibanking, Citi Priority, Citigold and Citigold Private Client and they cater to customers of different Assets under Management $1.5MM respectively.

The candidate will lead and direct a team of segment managers in the portfolio team to develop data led strategies to drive qualified client growth, net new money and portfolio quality. This include an end-to-end strategy of the portfolio actions at various stage of customer life cycle including upgrade, downgrade, slideback/winback actions, as well as partnering product owners to drive portfolio deepening initiatives, revenue growth actions and effective digital client engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Strategise and drive long term sustainable growth of qualified clients and net new money through portfolio quality initiatives and direct to client engagement strategies.
  • Accelerate revenue growth and cross sell actions through targeted portfolio actions and tactical customer campaigns
  • Collaborate with country and regional partners as well as harness technology, digital capabilities and analytics to deliver these portfolio strategies in a customer-centric approach in order to drive results
  • Conceptualise and formulate a smooth digital client engagement journey leveraging best-in-class Citi Mobile app to drive wealth management product deepening and engagement initiatives in contextual personalized approach by overlaying digital capabilities and data analytics.
  • Partner with product owners across wealth management and bancassurance to direct and oversee product marketing and client communication.
  • Assess relevant customer, competitor, and industry insights to help define strategies to improve digital client engagement journey and portfolio growth.
  • Overall responsible on the A&P marketing expense and contra revenue line management, business and budget planning
  • Protect the Bank by complying with relevant policies, procedures and country legal/regulatory requirements
  • Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Qualifications:
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in consumer retail banking, preferably in segments strategy
  • Cross functional knowledge (e.g. marketing, product, digital, analytics)
  • Ability to drive business growth actions and effective digital client engagement, leverage management information, and utilize data analytics to drive results
  • Demonstrated knowledge of portfolio management with focus on portfolio growth and quality
  • Strong analytical skills and financial acumen
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
