The function of asset management is to establish and implement detailed business plans & budgets and asset management strategies to meet all safety and performance objectives and, to ensure predictable long term distributions to Unitholders. Asset Management team is also responsible for implementing KCL and KC’s HSE, ERM and BCP policies. The individual will communicate and collaborate frequently with all other members of the team and other stakeholders. He will support the Head of AM to ensure full regulatory compliance, stable plant/asset performance and long term plant/asset reliability.

  • Develop and implement annual business plans & budgets
  • Oversee operations of KIT assets  including periodic review and monitoring approved budgets/plans, operations and maintenance reports, incident reports, BCP plans/reports, ad-hoc project feasibility study reports, technical review reports, insurance valuation and risk assessment reports, material contracts, capital expenditure plans, etc
  • Provide internal reports as required including routine and ad-hoc review of assets conditions, asset enhancement plans, monthly and quarterly O&M updates to KIT Board, KC and KCL
  • Make periodic visits and review assigned assets, participate in routine safety and BCP meetings/drills, attend to emergency 24/7 when necessary
  • Develop and establish good business relationships with all stakeholders including O&M contractors, joint venture partners, external service providers and professional teams, and customers and regulators
  • Participate in ad-hoc asset enhancement projects, such as plant capacity upgrade projects, safety and security enhancement projects, etc
  • Participate in other ad-hoc projects, such as change-in-law claims against the regulators under the concession agreement


  • Degree in Engineering or any relevant discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience ideally in the utilities infrastructure sector preferably with exposure to long term concession contract and the Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) structure
  • Strong analytical and Excel-based modelling skills for data compilation and analysis
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Naturally able to communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders from O&M contractors to customers, JV partners, consultants, lawyers and authorities
  • Energetic, team player, well-organized, with strong inter-personal skills
  • A ‘can do’ self-starter with good administrative or management skills and with very high attention to details
  • Excellent language and presentation skills and report writing
