Senior Assoc / AVP, Finance (Treasury - Debt Capital Market) (10341)

We are now looking for an excellent candidate to join us within the Debt Capital Market (DCM) team.

R e sponsibilities :

• Partner with team to manage Temasek's debt toolkit and drive delivery of DCM projects to ensure deal readiness for issuance across short and long term debt
  • Lead cross-functional teams and manage external stakeholders in update of offering circulars
  • Manage short term debt via Euro Commercial Paper (ECP) program and revolving credit facilities including drawdown, renewal, or repayments of bank loans
  • Independently research, apply knowledge and share insight and implications from market/regulatory developments

• Support team on analysis, developing debt optimization/issuance strategies, execution and other debt innovation projects
  • Actively monitor Temasek's debt portfolio to recommend opportunities to optimize debt, taking into account relevant risk
  • Develop, recommend and execute approved debt issuance plan for short- and long-term funding
  • Enhance team's capabilities in new developments/products by leading studies and sharing insights and implications, suggesting how market innovations/developments might be relevant for Temasek e.g. in the digitalization and sustainability space

• Domain expert and thought leader in global debt capital markets, rates and pricing to support multi-year debt plan, challenge bank recommendations and provide advice and support to internal teams and other relevant stakeholders

• Anchor DCM baseload round debt reporting, debt maintenance process (e.g. bond interest payments, debt expenses/budget, disclosure requirements etc) , debt legal documentation review and system maintenance/improvement

Requirements :

• Degree with 3-7 years of experience in corporate treasury (large multinational organisations an advantage) and/or debt capital markets of financial institutions
• Commercially minded with excellent analytical skills and detail oriented
• Highly developed project management and time management skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast paced and changing environment
• A very strong team player, clear and effective communicator (both written and oral), adept at working cross functionally and comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels of seniority
• Delivery driven with a continuous improvement mindset
• Very good Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills, with programming knowledge an advantage
