Senior Associate/Associate, Nostro Reconciliation & Investigation, Ops COO, Technology & Operations
Business Function Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.
Responsibilities RECONCILIATION OF NOSTRO ACCOUNTS - Perform reconciliation of GL and sources from internal and external systems for consumer banking business
- Process matching instructions provided by Business units timely
- Investigate outstanding items in Nostro accounts and follow-up with Nostro agent banks for further details via SWIFT or emails
- Work closely with Business & support Units to resolve outstanding Nostro breaks
- Manage the Unable to apply fund process, follow up with Support/Business units on fund application and perform return of unapplied funds via SWIFT as per stipulated guidelines
- Provide first level of GL Account Ownership signoff process. Ensure accurate categorising of aged breaks as per GLAO guideline
- Ensure all reconciliation are completed within agreed SLA timelines daily
- Update and maintain SOP on procedures changes
- Drive training and ensure adequacy of duties coverage
- Review daily processes and highlight areas of potential control gaps to team leader
PROJECTS /OTHER INITIATIVES - Drive projects / initiatives to improve efficiency through automation
- Work on process improvements and streamlining of processes
- Propose auto-matching rules to BU/SU
Requirements - Degree holder
- At least 5 years' experience in operations with good understanding of Nostro reconciliation & investigation processes
- Good analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
- Able to independently engage Support & Business Unit on reconciliation matters as well as to escalate and articulate issues and proposed resolutions
- Knowledge of STLM will be highly beneficial
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
