Our client is a fast growing commodities trading company currently expanding its Singapore office. There is now an exciting opportunity to join them in a newly created role to lead its Human Resources function supporting its growth.
This is an exciting hands on role partnering the business leaders, where you will be responsible for developing the firm’s Human Resources capabilities and managing the function, including talent acquisition, talent management, compensation & benefits, employee engagement and HR operations. You will work directly with cross functional colleagues, head office, external partners and government agencies e.g. MOM to identify HR solutions for the business to support the company’s vision and growth targets. You will identify and drive adoption of best-in-class HR practices to help the company establish the company as an employer of choice.
You are a degree qualified with demonstrated track record in setting up or developing HR capabilities in commodities trading or financial trading firms. You have strong operational HR generalist experience, and the agility to switch between a tactical and strategic mindset. Fluency in the Japanese language will be advantageous due to frequent communication with head office in Japan. You have an in-depth understanding of the Singapore market and its regulations and practices. You are a dynamic hands on leader with strong EQ and communication skills.
