VP, Listed Equity for a large Financial Institutions

This is one of the largest insurance company in the country and is looking for a VP, Listed Equity role to be responsible for investment research and managing portfolios.
Your new role
You will assume the role of VP, Listed Equity. You will be an integral member of the Listed Equity team responsible for (a) developing and implementing listed equity strategies, (b) investment research on relevant industries and companies globally, (c) contribute to Tactical Asset Allocation (TAA) process. This is an analyst/portfolio manager role and the candidate is expected to be well-versed in equity research and portfolio management.
Candidate is responsible for supporting the Listed Equity Team and the Investment Management Division to:
- Support the Listed Equity and TAA team in managing the Listed Equity and TAA portfolios to achieve alpha budget;
- Idea generation covers global equities. Candidate has to be able to do in-depth research on relevant industries and companies and propose/implement actionable investment ideas;
- Undertake projects on an ad-hoc basis as determined by Head of Equity / Group CIO;
- Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks;
- Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company;
- Highlights any potential concerns / risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.
