Our client is one of Asia's leading proprietary trading firms with multiple offices in the APAC region. Having strong growth over the past 2 years (and continuing!), they are looking for their next Senior Systems Engineer to join their Hong Kong team in supporting and improving their high-performance trading systems.

Team

Their high-performing operations team consists of infrastructure ninjas who are very passionate about trading and technology. These bright and mature chaps have never failed to keep the green lights on and are always on the look for the next systems enhancement – whether it be using old and effective, or new and innovative technology.

Role

The role itself involves working with multiple teams (infrastructure, development, and trading) to ensure the running of their low latency trading systems – making sure the heart’s beating by using the tools available. As part of the team, you will also develop tools that will help and improve the current systems and processes.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with Linux (RedHat)

• Scripting experience (Bash, Python, etc.)

• Configuration management tools (Puppet, Salt, etc.)

• Demonstratable experience in supporting mission critical systems.

This role would be suited for people coming from a Systems engineer and support background with deep passion for technology and finance.
