The Development team is responsible for the design, implementation and operation of the firm’s global Technology Platform. As a Software Developer you will be working with a highly complex, multi-faceted system, supporting all aspects of post-trade business activities. This is a proprietary platform developed using a distributed micro services architecture to provide millions of trades per day and 24x7 operation, while also allowing very agile but well-controlled multiple production releases per day. The development language for back-end services is Go, with web-based GUI development in JavaScript.

Requirements
You will be engaged in the entire lifecycle of software development, working closely with colleagues throughout the firm to analyse requirements, prior to designing, implementing, delivering and supporting solutions. Prior financial experience is not required, but the role will entail rapidly becoming a subject matter expert in this domain.
Essential Attributes
A solid grounding in academic CS fundamentals (algorithms and data structures)
Familiarity with concurrent programming techniques
Exposure to asynchronous, distributed systems
An understanding of and commitment to rigorous software engineering discipline
