We are hiring for a 1-year contractor! Schroders Portfolio Reporting Team is responsible for the production and delivery of periodic and ad-hoc operational client reports such as client valuations. The team performs a number of reconciliation activities to data reported by custodians, counterparties and transfer agents, in addition to data held within the Investment Book of Record (IBOR).

Overview of role

  • Validate and update client accounting records
  • Verify data and produce valuation reports in accordance with agreed format, data content and clients’ deadline
  • NAV signoff against external fund accountant appointed by the client
  • Proactive investigation and follow up of queries arising from front office, clients, custodians and administrators
  • Ensure timely resolution of production issues in accordance with deadlines
  • Work through high volumes, prioritise and manage workloads according to risk or deadlines
  • Ensure business controls are implemented and adhered to, and identify opportunities for improvements
  • Oversee account transitions to ensure accurate accounting records for new/lost clients and any new/changing reporting requirements are addressed
  • Assist with other reporting such as management reporting and regulatory reporting

 

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of relevant working experience
  • Experience working in fast-paced environment
  • Good knowledge of financial products such as Equities, Fixed Income and OTC Derivatives
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong prioritisation and organisational skills

 

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working within a middle/back office environment in an asset management firm
  • Proficient in basic software such as Excel macro
