The Program Manager, will have a pivotal role in managing stakeholder relationships, overseeing change implementation, ensuring effective governance, and driving sustainable improvements across designated business portfolios. This position requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate across various business functions and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Change Implementation Planning & Management
    • Lead end-to-end project delivery for designated business segments.
    • Prepare investment approval decks, including business case, in collaboration with Technology teams.
    • Develop a robust resource plan aligned with the project pipeline.
    • Anticipate business challenges and objectives of T&O initiatives, ensuring alignment with high-level budgets and success criteria.
    • Scope and evaluate new initiatives, providing recommendations on scalability, maintainability, cost, operations, and technology risks.
    • Initiate implementation plans for Group T&O projects, ensuring business readiness and risk mitigation strategies.
  2. Governance
    • Develop and maintain governance frameworks for supported projects or programs.
    • Coordinate Program Steering Committee (PSC) meetings, including planning, preparation, and action tracking.
    • Implement governance standards across the portfolio, monitoring and updating program deliverables.
    • Proactively report project risks and issues, facilitating informed decision-making by the PSC.
    • Identify emerging issues and resolve conflicts within the portfolio.
  3. Stakeholder Relationship Management
    • Act as a trusted advisor and single point of contact for senior stakeholders and influencers.
    • Build and maintain relationships with Business leaders, Support Functions, and Operational partners.
    • Prioritize business requests and manage the project pipeline for the portfolio.
    • Collaborate closely with Business CIOs and Functional Business Analysts for solution design and operating model.
  4. Sustainable Improvements
    • Enhance delivery quality and timelines aligned with business priorities, focusing on high ROI.
    • Optimize investment efficiency and manage inter-dependencies across the portfolio.
    • Drive operational process automation to reduce transaction costs during change delivery.
    • Establish processes to measure project benefits, ensuring on-time delivery and commercialization. 

Job Requirements:

  • Significant experience in managing large Transformation Programmes / Projects within a banking environment.
  • Experience in scoping and evaluation, defining considerations such as scalability, maintainability, cost, operations, and technology risks to provide informed recommendations.
  • Complete understanding of project lifecycle and Technology development models.
  • Thorough understanding of technology and operational processes across various functions and departments within the banking sector.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, problem-solving, and process design skills with the ability to translate analysis into actions that meet business objectives.
  • Minimum 18 years of relevant banking experience.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in engineering, business, finance, or equivalent.
