VP / AVP, Specialist, Credit Portfolio Management, Risk Management Group

Business Function

Risk Management Group works closely with our business partners to manage the bank's risk exposure by balancing its objective to maximise returns against an acceptable risk profile. We partner with origination teams to provide financing, investments and hedging opportunities to our customers. To manage risk effectively and run a successful business, we invest significantly in our people and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Proactively scan the horizon/environment for credit/macro/industry risks and work with relevant stakeholders for appropriate assessment actions
• Prepare senior management review decks for all credit portfolio updates and ensure consistency & quality
• Drive the implementation and design enhancement of credit portfolio monitoring at group and country levels
• Identify credit portfolio risk drivers, develop methodologies/approach for heat maps and set caps/ alerts
• Support data requirements and analysis for portfolio reviews and regulatory submissions
• Support ad-hoc research requirements (e.g. country/industry)

Requirements

• At least a bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
• At least 7 years of financial services experience including credit experience in corporate, commercial, or retail banking
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with credit products across multiple asset classes and within large banks
• Fully conversant in credit policy matters with proven sound judgment
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes, trends and anticipate horizon issues
• Strong project management skills
• Detail-oriented with strong data storytelling and presentation skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to audiences of varying levels of seniority
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and exert influence without direct authority
• Motivated, self-driven and taking a hands-on approach
