Responsibilities:
Provide core data solutions, insights and expertise in response to evolving business needs in market events, risk management, regulatory change, and new financial products.
Manage and oversee end to end data operations activities on SCD. This includes monitor, analyse, investigate, and resolve day-to-day operational incidents and advisory to users.
Design data quality checks and performance KPIs metrics to assess data health and detect deficiencies and improvement with our data sources or internal data processes.
Develop a thorough knowledge of Simcorp Dimension capabilities and improve our ability to scale implementation efforts to support new investment activities in a timely and agile fashion
Maintain the pipeline for delivery in the year and work with the stakeholders to prioritize demand based on the capacity to deliver
Identify and improve data operations process through analysing systems operations data (SLAs, delivery quality, team efficiency etc.) for continuous improvements
Lead and complete various efficiency and capacity-building initiatives, including automation/ standardization efforts.
Incorporate industry data management best practices into operational workflow to drive process efficiencies and scalabilities.
Stay abreast of new and evolving business requirements and market trends to align our data capabilities to meet business needs
Actively participate in new data initiatives and projects
Provide coaching and guidance to juniors
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Analytics/Statistics/mathematics/Engineering, Computer Science, Financial Engineering or relevant quantitative fields disciplines or experiences.
At least 10 years of working experience where at least 5 years of hands-on experience in direct data management or data analytics in asset management, investment, and banking industry. Experience in Data Governance would be an advantage.
Additional qualifications like CFA, CIPM, FRM would be favourably considered.
Deep domain expertise on investment product knowledge and strong familiarity with the investment lifecycle across public and private asset classes
Demonstrated success in applying the principles, key controls and processes relating to data management
Familiarity with data warehouse, data models, data management tools and data extraction (such as SQL, Python) and data visualisation tools such as Tableau is preferred
Experience with usage of Simcorp Dimension will be an advantage
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with consistent track record of building strong relationships and ability to manage different levels of stakeholders across the organization and navigate through conflicts and differences competently and with ease.
Excellent analytical ability, capable of using digital literacy to unlock hidden solutions
Well-organized with the ability to lead several contending priorities while retaining an acute attention to detail
Ability to think strategically yet operate at a tactical level.
Enthusiastic and comfortable with working in a high pressure and fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and the integrity of investment data.
Experienced with agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban is a plus
