\tWorking with the A&O Modelling & Execution teams, you'd support the delivery of credible and robust capital forecasts over a five-year horizon for internal use and for our regulators. You'd gain understanding of capital and forecasting modelling approaches, to determine to drivers of changes in capital requirements and identify credit risks and opportunities.
\tYou'd ensure that regulatory data requests in the team are completed accurately, and adhere to specific Group and regulatory policy, processes and procedures.
\tBy becoming an expert in the Secured and Asset Finance businesses from a portfolio risk perspective, you'll produce actionable and tailored recommendations to colleagues and management, to shape our bank's credit risk while supporting the growth aspirations of the business.

We'll expect you to actively identify and pursue opportunities to enhance insight tools and the knowledge and culture of the team - for example, by developing automated tools which reveal portfolio data interactions, or by sharing good practice and coaching others across the team. You could also be expected to deputise for more senior colleagues at Grade E.

\tCould you think about credit risk differently - using data to really understand economic and portfolio drivers of credit performance, and deliver on our mission to be the Best Bank for Customers?

THE PERSON

\tWe're looking for a highly organised and motivated individual who is passionate about data insights and can explain complex issues in simple terms.
\tYou're highly analytical, demonstrating this with a good degree in a very numerate subject, for example maths, statistics, operational research, physics or economics, or with previous relevant experience.
\tYou'll be able to work at a fast pace and have an eye for detail and accuracy. You'll have a highly analytical approach to problem solving and it would be desirable for you to have some experience of credit risk issues, economic principles, forecasting and statistical methods.
\tYou'll have good Excel and PowerPoint skills, and experience of SAS is desirable.
\tIdeally you'll be a self-starter and have the ability to work well within a team environment, without the need for close supervision. You'll be a positive contributor to the team and take an active role in progressing your development. You'll demonstrate good time management and planning/organisation skills in your day to day activities.
\tYou'll be able to communicate conclusions and suggestions clearly, using superb written and verbal interpersonal skills, and have a high level of creativity, drive, innovation and initiative.
\tYou'll be able to adapt to changing priorities and demonstrate good personal resilience.

AND IN RETURN

We'll recognise and reward your performance.

We'll provide full training in the risk models and relevant risk management techniques and frameworks within a retail bank. We'll support you to thrive and reach your full potential, meet your personal career aspirations and really make a difference as you embark on a career with excellent development and progression opportunities.

Roles are available in a variety of locations. We support flexible and family friendly ways of working.

If you have the skills and aptitude we're after, and playing a key analytical role appeals to you, then please get in touch. We'd love to hear from you.
