We Offer
  • The role is a hybrid project manager/business analyst on Giraffe, the strategic risk management system for the global Equities business within Credit Suisse (covering Equity Derivatives, Prime Services and Cash Equities).
  • The role sits specifically within the Giraffe Programme Management team, a team of hybrid project managers/business analysts who manage all aspects of the Giraffe programme. Working closely with the development team to ensure delivery of programme deliverables, frequent releases of software to production and the successful running of the platform in production (in conjunction with 1st line support teams). The overall team size of Giraffe is approximately 50 people.
  • The Giraffe team is part of the Equities Risk IT department which is a Front Office aligned IT function that forms part of the wider Equities IT organisation.
  • Opportunity to work in a large team on a complex system with a global footprint in a fast paced and dynamic Front Office environment.
  • A chance to lead and take on ownership of several streams of delivery within the Giraffe programme and will specifically be responsible for:

- Project management of the streams (including providing status and management of risks and issues).
- Manage various aspects of the project/software delivery lifecycle (including business analysis, specification, solution design, testing, UAT).
- Communicate with project sponsors/business partners as well as coordinate with central programme teams.
- Build positive working relationships with users (across Front Office, Product Control, Risk Management), IT developers and quants.
- Successful completion of the objectives of the project within acceptable timelines.

You Offer

The following are all mandatory criteria for the role:
  • Extensive experience of strategic risk management processes & methodologies at a top tier investment bank (covering Equity Derivatives, Prime Services and Cash Equities).
  • Detailed working knowledge of Equities (particular Equity Derivatives) and related valuation and Front Office risk management concepts and methodology.
  • Results-oriented, hardworking individual with excellent problem solving skills and attention to details.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience of working as part of a large development team (>25 people) on a Front Office risk management system (preferably developed in-house).
  • Delivery-focused with excellent project management skills. Familiarity of Agile development methodology (including the use of Kanban walls).
  • Track record of delivering value to business functions.
  • Ability to design appropriate solutions to business requirements in collaboration with users and developers.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with diverse business partner groups at varying levels of seniority across user groups. It includes Trading, Product Control and Risk Management and delivery functions (other IT teams, quants).
  • Experience of collaborating with central programme teams in the role of IT supplier for large, front-to-back change initiatives (e.g. due to new regulation or market changes).
  • Experience of managing product “backlogs” and planning development sprints/iterations in close partnership with development teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point).
  • Hold Degree-level qualification, preferably in a technical or scientific subject.
