Corporate Trust, EMEA TMG Senior Group Manager (Director level)
The CT EMEA TMG Manager oversees and manages a team of professionals responsible for reviewing deal documentation pertaining to new business and post close amendments. Ensures negotiations of underlying deal documentation accurately reflect nature of contracted roles and obligations. Acts as key liaison with compliance, audit, risk, legal and Business & Jurisdictional Acceptance Committees regarding regional product and jurisdictional market requirements. Effectively ensures regional teams comply with all relevant regulatory requirements, standards, policies, and preferred practices. In addition the TMG team must mitigate operational risk associated with deal transaction documentation, onboarding and closing. Role specifics:
The CT EMEA TMG Manager is responsible for the Transaction Management Group within the EMEA region, with a team of approximately 30 members.
The CT EMEA TMG Manager dual reports into the CT Global Head of TMG and the CT UK Entities Manager.
The CT EMEA TMG Manager is responsible for managing communication with the CT EMEA legal team and escalation, when required, to ensure appropriate internal and external support for the TMG team and oversight of legal risk in the context of document review by the TMG team.
The CT EMEA TMG Manager acts as key liaison with Product & Strategy Managers to develop and implement growth, efficiency and regulatory initiatives as they pertain to TMG.
The CT EMEA TMG Manager will be an active participant in the Business Acceptance Committee.
Provided eligibility criteria are met and the board approves, the CT EMEA TMG Manager will also become a director of the CT trustee company, BNYM CTSL
The TMG Regional Manager leads a team of professionals engaged in reviewing deal documentation and deal structures as well as document negotiation. The candidate will have proven people, communication and management skills to effectively manage a large group of highly analytical professionals with advanced legal and diverse business backgrounds. Qualifications
Degree level education or higher, or exceptional corporate trust experience specifically in transaction management.
Legal qualification in a common law and/or civil law jurisdiction and/or experience as a practicing transactional attorney with capital markets experience as well as familiarity with corporate trust products, (e.g. Corporate & Sovereign Debt, ABS, MBS) is helpful.
Extensive knowledge of financial services products, related regulations and activities required.
Bachelors' degree preferably in finance or a related area, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
