Desktop Support Engineer

The Desktop support engineer is responsible for resolving IT related incidents and IT requests. You will be working on a fast-paced broking floor sitting directly with the brokers. You will be dealing with tickets via the Helpdesk as well as face-to-face instant requests. The role would suit a dynamic individual with a passion for technology and someone willing to continuously learn new skills. A hands-on attitude to participate in any tasks required to provide IT solutions is a must. The role is interesting, fun and varied and requires excellent inter-personal and communications skills, at all levels. Attention to detail and high standards are essential. You will be working as part of a team of four on a shift rota.

Key responsibilities

  • Driven and highly motivated individual required to maintain a very high quality of service and most importantly, to be a team player
  • You will have knowledge of basic Microsoft Office 365 and be involved with new technologies that the business implement
  • Provide first and Second line IT support to the business
  • Ensuring documentation for systems and services are maintained
  • Customer service focused; keeping the end user informed at all times
  • Adhere to IT Policies and Procedures
  • To be confident to escalate to other team members or management where appropriate.
  • A passion for troubleshooting and problem solving and approaching with the right attitude will be key to this role
  • Software and hardware knowledge
  • You will have knowledge of basic Microsoft Office 365 and be involved with new technologies that the business implement
