Market Job Description

Wells Fargo’s International Talent Acquisition Team has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Executive Recruiter to serve as the strategic partner and subject matter expert on end-to-end executive and leadership hiring activity. The scope of this role includes all lines of business and 32 countries across Canada, EMEA and APAC (excluding India and the Philippines).

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have strong recruiting, relationship management, client consulting, and influencing skills with a successful track record proactive sourcing and candidate development on difficult executive and highly visible searches.  The role requires a sense of urgency, passion for results, and personal accountability for achievement.

Key Responsibilities 
Strategic candidate and client engagement. Understand Wells Fargo’s global transformation as a basis to build trusted relationships and hold business-relevant conversations with senior executives. Translate the Wells Fargo transformation story into a winning value proposition to entice potential candidates. Build innovative and market-leading diverse candidate generation plans to attract passive candidates. Obsess about and drive a world-class candidate experience, from initial contact through offer, providing exceptional communication at each stage. Build hiring leader capability in areas such as: hiring for the company, not just the job; using structured interview techniques; hiring from adjacent markets when appropriate; and embracing diverse and inclusive candidate pools.

End-to-end recruiting. Drive end-to-end recruiting of executives (SVP, MD, and above) across international markets, including managing the sourcing, mapping, attraction, assessment, selection, hiring, and onboarding processes. Provide strong, tailored longlists and shortlists for critical open roles and to support internal succession planning. Work with regional leaders and Talent Management team determine bench strength. Assess executive level talent through behavioural and competency-based interviewing techniques. Understand and make recommendations for complex package structures.

Market intelligence. Proactively and strategically map competitor organisations and markets around the world to identify the best pools of talent and generate strong market knowledge and intelligence. Identify relevant adjacent markets and talent pools for candidate development.

Collaboration and relationship management. Develop a network of internal and external industry leaders to align talent acquisition model and business objectives. Partner with, advise, and support the broader HR community, including HRBPs, across international markets, in the US, and across multiple geographies and lines of business. Leverage infrastructure teams within International Talent Acquisition, including employer branding, marketing, sourcing channels, and candidate experience. Partner with the broader international talent acquisition team for efficient use of resources, tools, best practices, and recruitment partnering opportunities. Partner with Global Mobility on relocations and demonstrate a sound understanding of factors affecting relocation.

Data and metrics. Define and follow key aspects of the recruiting process, and meet key recruiting metrics, such as time, cost, quality, and effectiveness of hire. Track and report on diversity of interview slates. Maintain accuracy and integrity of data in applicant tracking system (Kenexa).

Risk mitigation and compliance. Manage a compliant and audit-ready hiring process. Know and follow relevant and applicable local regulatory and corporate requirements, and ensure they are met at all times. Engage with regulatory bodies as required and coach candidates and hiring leaders to do the same.

Market Skills and Certifications

Skills/Experience Required

  • Strong business acumen with a proven track record of placing global executives and business leaders within large financial services organizations as an in-house executive recruiter and/or an executive search consultant.
  • Proven track record of identifying and nurturing prospect/candidate relationships over the long term.
  • Proven track record of direct-sourcing and enticing robust and diverse external talent through key talent channels, including professional networking, referrals, market mapping, and locally-relevant social media platforms.
  • Proven ability to build trusted, consultative relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels, including hiring executives, HR colleagues, talent management leaders, and other functional partners to problem-solve multi-dimensional issues such as tax and immigration and complex compensation packages. Aptitude to network internally to identify potential internal talent for open roles.
  • Proficient with contact management or applicant tracking systems.
