First General Counselrole required for growing UK business
A well known business that has locations throughout the UK and provides flexible working office space is seeking its first General Counsel.
As a PE backed entity the company has gone through significant growth in the UK and is now venturing into Europe. Consequently the business requires its first General Counsel to build and grow the legal team.
Working in Central London and reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for all the legal matters of the business including corporate, commercial, acquisitions, litigation and other ad-hoc matters. In addition with growth of the company, you will be expected to build a legal function as required and manage those beneath you.
- You should ideally have a minimum of 7 years PQE and have experience of working in house in a senior legal role or if coming from private practice, you will have spent time on secondment.
- Technical skills should be across commercial and corporate matters and working closely with the Board, you should be able to provide pragmatic and commercial advice on a range of issues.
- Stakeholder management and managerial skills are necessary.
- An ability to work on future cross border matters will also be advantageous.
