Redstone Private Banking Search is currently working with a well-established Swiss pure play private bank in London. The bank has over 4000 employees from nearly 30 offices worldwide. The bank is looking for a new Head of Compliance to manage the team and compliance operations for the London branch.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Responsible for the compliance operations and procedures for the private banking team in London (KYC, AML, CFT, regulatory reporting etc.)
  • Checking and approving new private clients for the front office team and providing support regarding regulatory and legal requirements
  • In charge of implementing the banks policies and if necessary, adjusting the compliance procedures
  • Managing and training the team of compliance officers
  • Role reports to the COO

Key Qualifications / Experience
  • 8+ years' experience in senior compliance roles with a focus on UK private banking or Wealth Management. Exposure to international markets such as Switzerland, Monaco or Luxembourg will also be interesting for this position
  • Currently a Senior Compliance Officer, Deputy Head or Team Head in a top tier Private Bank or well established Wealth Manager
  • Previously managed a team of compliance professionals with the ability to offer guidance and coaching on the regulatory environment, including applicable laws, regulations and regulatory guidance relevant for UK Wealth Management
  • Legal background and qualifications such as law degree, LL.B or LL.M, to be a fully qualified solicitor or lawyer would be preferred.
  • Fluent English is essential and any additional European languages are highly sought after
