Head of Pensions - London - 7m FTC

Role could be full time or part time (4 days per week).

Your key responsibilities
Largely project driven and as such act as the lead for a number employer driven projects. Examples of key projects to include:

Liability Management exercise
DB long term funding strategy review
DC investment strategy review
DB Plan valuation as at 1 October 2019
  • Act as the point of contact for EY leadership on pension matters.
  • Sit on EY's Pensions Sub-committee; a sub-committee of the LLP Board with the delegated authority to manage pension risks.
  • Management of EY's UK trust based DC arrangement
  • Management of EY's ROI trust based DC arrangement
  • Working closely with the Reward Team, lead on the strategic management of EY's Financial Wellness proposition.
  • Day to day management of pensions team operations in the UK & Ireland
  • Team management, development and coaching.
  • Provide management support and oversight in respect of trustee operations and governance.

As well as the day to day management of pensions team operations in the UK & Ireland you will act as the point of contact for EY leadership on pension matters, provide support and oversight in respect of trustee operations and governance and sit on EY's Pensions Sub-committee; a sub-committee of the LLP Board with the delegated authority to manage pension risks.

Skills and attributes for success
  • Ability to operate and influence effectively at a very senior level
  • Ability to lead a team and provide counselling and coaching

To qualify for the role you must have
  • Extensive in-house or consulting pensions experience at a senior level supporting on corporate and trustee matters
  • Strong technical knowledge in both DB and DC
  • Experience of working within a professional services organisation
  • Ability to operate and influence effectively at a very senior level
  • Proven track record in change management projects
  • Ability to lead a team and provide counselling and coaching
