In our Supply Chain Networks and Operations (SCNO) practice, whether you're advising, implementing, or involved in operations, you'll help deliver transformational solutions that bring world class supply network capabilities to some of the most recognised brands in the world.

There are a number of technologies that are leading the way in transforming the core back and middle office of our clients. One such technology is SupplyCycle, an optimisation engine developed by Deloitte in partnership with McLaren Applied Technologies. By combining analytical simulation and optimisation techniques from the world of Formula 1® with our world-class Supply Chain expertise, we have developed a solution that enables our clients to make critical Supply Chain Planning decisions. We are looking for experienced Managers to join our team to help deploy and embed our SupplyCycle solution in some of the world's largest and most recognisable organisations.

Your role
You will become part of our highly skilled SupplyCycle team, working within a cross-functional team of Supply Chain consultants, Data Scientists and Software Engineering professionals of different nationalities and disciplines. You will be working directly with clients at leading international companies across a range of industries. In your projects, you will manage medium sized teams (4-6) through the entire deployment lifecycle: from mobilisation and data collection through to implementation and benefit delivery.

You will be developing and implementing a best-in class solution whilst building your own skills and knowledge. Each project will be unique, dependent on the nature of the client's challenges. This will range from data-intensive analysis to build business cases for deployment through to supporting client's to connect and integrate SupplyCycle into their core Supply Chain Planning and ERP systems. You will work directly with clients to make a tangible and lasting impact on their inventory holdings, their factory efficiencies and you will fundamentally change how they plan their Supply Chains.

To do this, you will be working with an array of different stakeholders - from leading strategic visioning sessions with senior client executives to deploying execution level changes on the shop floor. You will work in a cross-functional Deloitte and McLaren team that blends operational and industry experience, with data science, simulation and optimisation expertise and deep software development and delivery experience.

Whilst fulfilling your own career and personal growth ambitions, you will be simultaneously contributing to practice development, refining our industry-leading approaches to maintain our cutting edge. This could also be through leading or supporting pieces of thought leadership and developing new propositions as well as taking opportunities to contribute to the development and management of our team. With coaching and mentoring from the wider SCNO community, you will also be contributing to our healthy pipeline by supporting the development of sales proposals or pitches.


•Engaging with clients on Supply Chain Planning subject matter by providing leading practice examples, and translation of ideas and opportunities into a practical roadmap for implementation and benefit realisation;
•Specifically, managing the deployment of our SupplyCycle solution to clients, helping them to build the case for change, to understand the impact of changing their Supply Chain Planning approach and to support them to implement and realise the benefits from new technologies;
•Shaping the work that teams across engagements will execute, leading the delivery, providing technical support and taking responsibility for the overall delivery to the client, including quality assurance;
•Building and sustaining client relationships whilst leading business development by working with the Deloitte leadership team to identify and pursue opportunities;
•Leading practice development and contributing to the advance of SupplyCycle's market eminence through development of thought leadership; and
•Managing diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution

London. However travel will be required for client based projects. Whilst some clients are London based, we often spend time on site with regional and international clients. We specify full mobility for our consulting roles but we make arrangements respectfully.

Work pattern:
This is a fixed term, full time contract opportunity with the option for agile working opportunities.

Your professional experience
•Relevant experience in one or more of the following: production planning, inventory planning and optimisation, production scheduling, deployment planning
•Consulting experience in delivering projects and programmes focused on improving the following processes: demand planning, supply planning, inventory management and S&OP / IBP
•Demonstrated experience of managing medium sized teams (4-6) to deliver projects on-time and to budget;
•Experience in developing professional working relationship with senior stakeholders;
•Strong MS PowerPoint, Excel and report writing skills, as well as broad consulting skills which should include interviewing, facilitation of client workshops and delivery of pitches;
•Experience in conducting data intensive analysis and visualisation
•Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to think quickly and creatively to solve client issues;
•A willingness to work across different industries and geographies if required;


•Experience in planning or managing Supply Chains in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) segment
•Experience in working directly with/consulting to Supply Chain Planners, Production Schedulers and Operations Directors
•Awareness or previous usage of Supply Chain planning software such as SAP IBP, Kinaxis, OM Partners, JDA, E2Open
