Senior Software Engineer
Senior Software Engineer, R7451 - Tetbury - Project CMP

Role overview

You will work as part of a team delivering high quality commercial software for an established product. The product is a content mashup platform which collects, collates and stores documents and data, and provides various tools to search, retrieve and visualise that data in response to customer requests. You'll work closely with the Product Owner to understand customer requirements and design, develop and deliver solutions that delight customers.

What will you be doing:

  • Design, plan and develop solutions based on industry requirements
  • Participate as part of a project team to design, code, test and implement moderately complex programs to support the portfolio management process
  • Lead small to mid-level sized programs or portions of a program
  • Establish testing procedures to ensure application is thoroughly tested throughout development and before release
  • Monitor and report to management on project status, identify issues that may impede attainment of goals, recommend and implement corrective measures
  • Maintain and improve existing systems
  • Continuously expand knowledge in area of specialisation
  • Perform other duties as required

About you:

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrable work experience in building web applications
  • Highly proficient in C# and .NET, focusing on ASP.NET with MVC
  • Thorough knowledge of one or more technologies (e.g..Net, C#, User Interface, XML, database technologies, spatial technologies)
  • Strong Transact SQL experience
  • Experience of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and working with pattern libraries
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work effectively as part of a project/program team
  • Ideally be versed in Agile technologies
