Infrastructure Engineer II - Middleware
We are looking for a hands-on Infrastructure Middleware Engineer, who must be able to move at a rapid rate of execution to deliver requests and take advantage of any opportunities as they present themselves and navigate through any technical challenges. They should have both the short- and long-term perspective when deciding on the best technical approach. The ideal candidate should have the necessary skills and experience to provide technical guidance, estimation of efforts, understanding and deciding upon the optimal technology solution to achieve the desired business needs, be able to navigate differing levels of gray/unknowns, and have excellent communication skills with other IT management levels, individual contributors and business stakeholders.


  • Responsible for design, development, configuration, problem analysis, deployment, and continuous operational improvement of middleware technologies.

  • Architect, integrate, configure applications and provide technology leadership in WebSphere MQ, Apache, Tomcat, Apigee, IIS, Weblogic and other Middleware technologies.

  • Experience in implementing the microservice based architecture and providing solutions utilizing the SAAS/PAAS infrastructures.

  • Experience in DevOps Tools like Ansible, Jenkins, Nolio, Perforce and Git.

  • Sound knowledge on Cloud Technologies like OpenShift, Azure and AWS.

  • Exposure to monitoring tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, Zabbix, etc.

  • Experience in automation skills for installing middleware products and middleware patching.

  • Experience utilizing CI/CD (Continuous Integration & Delivery) techniques.

  • Extensive experience on implementing Security Vulnerability Patches.

  • Strong Skills in Performance Tuning and troubleshooting in middleware products.

  • Develop and implement standard processes for installation, maintenance, migration and upgrade of middleware applications.

  • Knowledge on automate service restore for middleware services.

  • Experience in Server Patching and Server Hardening.

  • Provide input to project planning, estimation, budget, resource, and technology planning.

  • Experience with a scripting language like Perl, Python, Shell and WLST.

  • Identify and communicate risks (business, application, technical) associated with middleware component or application implementation.

  • Address problems of patching, systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.

  • Provide input to the development of project initiation documents, including the definition of objectives, scope, approach, and deliverables.

  • Experience in SAML/SSO setup & LDAP/AD integration with application.

  • Create and maintain documentation for middleware installations, changes and upgrades and provide transition to Operations Team.

  • Develop POC, contributes to ongoing development efforts, performs advanced code/configuration review to ensure design patterns are followed and aligns with architecture standards.

  • Provide leadership by instructing, mentoring and training team members within and outside the work group.

  • Identify and apply innovative technologies to update existing middleware platform.

  • Engage with vendors, application and other stake holders on problem resolution, design issues and upgrades.

  • Engage with stake holders to identify problem resolution.

  • Proficient in Windows/Linux.

  • Profound knowledge of Banking & Financial Domain is a plus.

  • Experience in ITIL Process
