Job Description: Strategy Lead (Director) Experian Marketing Solutions (EMS)

Experian is seeking a high performing Director of Strategy who will be an integral part of the Strategy and Partnerships team. The Director will drive business strategy development and lead the annual production of Experian Marketing Solutions 5-year strategic plan. This role will include conducting external competitive and market analysis and internal strategic analysis, and supporting business case development for new strategic initiatives. In this role, you will work closely with domain and function leaders to align and cascade the strategy to the organization.


Responsibilities

Lead the annual strategic planning process and related execution implementation plans.
Perform in depth analysis (e.g. market sizing, competitive landscape mapping, channel assessment, segmentation, financial performance) to generate business insights
Identify, gather and assess key external and internal data to drive those analyses
Collaborate closely with EMS stakeholders in Product, Technology, Sales, Finance, as well as Corporate strategy and finance
Proactively review emerging trends in markets, case studies, and relevant topics
Foster a deep understanding of the market, client trends and competitive activities and develop market intelligence and strategy materials for Experian executives
Manage external vendors such as market research firms and engage with consulting firms when necessary.
Produce compelling materials to support strategic decision-making and to explain our strategy
Engage with regional stakeholders across the globe to foster alignment and to understand regional nuances
Support market assessment and business case development for new strategic initiatives, partnerships and corporate development opportunities.
Create a culture of excellence in the articulation of our strategy across Experian, and supporting our internal and external efforts to communicate it

Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelors degree, MBA preferred
8+ years of experience in strategy consulting or in or relevant experience in comparable roles in software, Internet or media industries
Strategic thinker (futurist outlook) coupled with the ability to roll up sleeves distinct problem- solving and analysis skills, combined with savvy business judgment
Proven experience in strategy formulation, complex organizational wide problem solving, and financial forecast/modeling
Highly independent in thinking and framing problems, driven by intellectual curiosity
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to create high impact presentations
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with a cross-functional teams
Preference for office location in near proximity to an EMS campus (Costa Mesa, Schaumburg, NYC)
Ability to travel
