Java Software Engineer

As an experienced member of our Software Engineering Group we look first and foremost for people who are passionate around solving business problems through innovation & engineering practices. This role requires a wide variety ofstrengths and capabilities, including:

  • BS/BAdegree or equivalent experience
  • Expertisein application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructurearchitecture disciplines
  • Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
  • Knowledgeof industry wide technology strategies and best practices
  • Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
  • Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
  • Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages experience in building applications in Java/Spark
  • Full stack development including programming in Java/Spark, designing tables in big data using HBase/Hive/Impala, Working in messaging setup using Kafka to name a few.
  • Be part of our CI/CD/Devops team to automate end to end code integration into cloud and non-cloud technologies
  • Building expertise in data models for trades and their use in reporting.
  • Performance tuning applications and components in big data stack
  • Developing end to end regression test automation in addition to unit and functional testing.
  • Knowledgeof industry wide technology strategies and best practices
  • Keenunderstanding of financial control and budget management
  • Abilityto work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, andpassionate about building an innovative culture
