Test Automation Specialist

Bloomberg is seeking an SQA Test Automation Specialist to support our Foreign Exchange Electronic Trading Quality Assurance Team. As a member of the team you will use a key-word driven automation tool developed in-house with an Excel-like front-end, to perform functional software testing on Bloomberg's Electronic Trading platforms. This platform provides consolidation of trading activities across FX and allows clients to perform price discovery, pre-and post-trade analysis as well as straight through processing.

We'll trust you to:

  • Build automated test scripts based on manual test cases provided by team members
  • Run and troubleshoot automated tests
  • Identify and report testing gaps and/or technical challenges to automation
  • Contribute to and support our shared strategic technology agenda
  • Support the team with technical troubleshooting of existing Automated Regression scripts

You'll need to have:
  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science
  • 3 years or more of Software Testing/Automation Experience
  • Strong MS Excel, VB Script, VB.Net, VBA
  • Experience with Forex
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to quickly obtain detailed knowledge of complex products and apply software test techniques for rapid production releases
  • Experience with Order Management Systems or Electronic Trading Applications
  • Knowledge of FIX Protocol
  • Strong communication skills
