CIB - Wholesale Payments - Business Transformation - Analyst / Associate
Wholesale Payments (WP)Business Transformation is a strategic and execution-focused group that worksclosely with the teams selling, developing and creating Wholesale Paymentsproducts, including consumer-to-business payments, B2B payments, liquidity and cashmanagement, FX, trade finance and more. Wholesale Payments sits at theintersection of finance and technology and is one of the largest players(processing $6 trillion of payments a day) in an industry undergoing a majortransformation.

Business Transformation supports senior leadership on aprogram basis, addressing topics at the top of their strategic agendas.Programs are typically team-based and include heavy interaction andcollaboration with senior executives within Wholesale Payments and acrossJPMorgan. The group reports directly to the Head of Wholesale Payments.

The key responsibilities of the group include:
  • Work with senior business leaders to design, define and agree on future objectives, strategies and deliverables and ensure prioritization;
  • Drive ownership and shepherd execution of key initiatives;
  • Ensure alignment, provide oversight and drive the rhythm of prioritized initiatives and strategies that cut across product, functional and geographic areas


We are seeking an Analystor Associate to join the group and help define business growth strategies, supportstrategic initiatives across businesses (including other LOBs) and solvecomplex problems and execution issues critical to WP. The position offers anexcellent opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of the WholesalePayments universe, build leadership skills and advance to other roles inWholesale Payments or across the firm.

Specific capabilitiesrequired for the position include:
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, including the ability to work with colleagues at all levels as a peer and achieve goals without direct control over resources
  • Comfortable handling complex projects and working effectively with cross-LOB stakeholders
  • Strong end-to-end problem solving skills, e.g.,
    • Define, frame and deconstruct large, business-wide problems
    • Prioritize issues, analysis and team capacity
    • Structure and build quantitative and qualitative/conceptual analyses
    • Perform competitor/industry research leveraging both public and non-public sources
    • Identify implications and drive to major decisions with solid rationale
  • Articulate and concise communication skills, with experience speaking to senior management

Qualifications

  • 2 years management consulting, investment banking or corporate strategyexperience
  • Paymentsexperience preferred; wholesale banking and B2B payments background is a plus
  • Outstandingability to analyze problems, apply quantitative analytical approaches,communicate effectively and confidently (oral and written)
  • Distinctiveproblem solving skills; able to break down and structure complex problems
  • Abilityto influence across business lines, cultures, functions; drive results withoutdirect control
  • Strongproject and process management skills
  • Opento an environment of active developmental feedback from peers
  • Excellent command of MS Excel andPowerPoint; familiar with analytical and data visualization tools (e.g.,Tableau, R, SAS, etc.)
