Citi Security and Investigative Services (CSIS) is a full-service security and investigative team that protects the assets, integrity, and reputation of Citi and its clients by providing best-in-class investigative products and services to clients across the company. We accomplish this by offering in-house professional security services and independent investigations to clients across all of Citi's businesses and regions, partnering with other Citi business groups, law enforcement agencies, governments and others to protect our employees, businesses, clients and information.

CSIS Crisis Management is responsible for the Citi's crisis management activities. The team is activated during crisis events and provides notification, escalation and coordination of Citi corporate resources to help resolve emergencies.  Crisis Management also provides strategies for businesses to use to protect staff and mitigate risk during a crisis event. Assistance is provided through plan templates, crisis severity-level classifications, along with guidance in creating plans that comply with applicable legislation, regulations, and codes.

•  Manage day-to-day functions in support of global crisis management activities, across multiple locations and jurisdictions in which Citi has a business presence/operation
•  Knowledge and understanding of regional risk environments along with the ability to effectively apply appropriate crisis response protocols to mitigate those risks or react to those risks, as needed
•  Oversee, maintain and coordinate operational processes performed by crisis management support teams
•  Ensure consistency of protocol responses and dissemination of critical decision making information
•  Create and participate in response plans and training exercises to improve organizational response to events
•  Maintain management overview of issues occurring at a high level globally, through internet observation, news media reporting, etc.
•  Review Post-Crisis actions and evaluate performance and processes to determine how well the Crisis Management Plan was executed, lessons learned and update the methodology of the response plan as needed.


• Bachelor's degree required, MBA or advanced degree preferred
• Minimum 10-15+years crisis management or emergency management experience
• Experienced in global crisis management and business continuity programs for large multinational organizations
• Ability to clearly communicate, disseminate information, follow direction, earn confidence and trust in culturally diverse and sensitive areas
• Ability to maintain composure and critical thinking in fast-paced stressful conditions
• Highly motivated team player, coordinator and collaborator
• Supports crisis management planning, facilitation, response, recovery, after action initiatives and conducts emergency notification communications
• Possess strong project management and organizational skills
• Be available on a 24 X 7 basis for immediate response to crisis events when they occur globally
• Proficiency in writing, proof reading, quality assurance, analytical skills, and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
