The Compliance Technology team at Point72 develops surveillance, monitoring and reporting tools used to ensure that the firm adheres to the highest standards for ethical conduct and professionalism. We develop and maintain a variety of products that interface with many different areas of the business including research, execution and risk.

What you'll do
The Compliance Technology team at Point72 develops surveillance, monitoring and reporting tools used to ensure that the firm adheres to the highest standards for ethical conduct and professionalism. Our trade surveillance platform consists of analytics and reporting that synthesize firm trades and market data across asset classes. We are looking to add a developer to the team to continue building out this platform. The ideal candidate should be very comfortable working with large datasets and have solid analytical skills.
  • Design, develop, test and maintain all tiers of the team's application suite
  • Work with variety of programming languages and technologies
  • Process real-time and historical data
  • Liaise with other technology teams within Point72

What's required
The person in this role must be a strong developer experienced with the development lifecycle who can demonstrate a good combination of programming and data analysis skills as well as some knowledge of statistics. In addition, prior experience with the FIX protocol, market data (e.g. TAQ) and/or quantitative trading compliance will be a plus. The candidate should also have good communication/interpersonal skills; be comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team; and be capable of interfacing with internal/external counterparties.

Technical skills:
  • Experience with KDB+ and Q is required
  • Strong analytical skills are required
  • Understanding of SQL is required
  • Scripting experience (Perl, Python and/or Bash) is strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems is strongly preferred
  • Modern web development technologies (Angular / React) are a plus
  • C#/.NET is a plus
  • C, C++ and/or Java is a plus
  • Tableau is a plus
  • Experience with other NOSQL / big data technologies is a plus
Education
B.S./B.A. in Computer Science or other STEM field is preferred plus at least 2 years of related work experience
