Head of Platform Cloud Engineering and DevOps Enablement
As the Head of DevOps and Cloud Engineering Enablement for S&P Global Platform teams, you will provide leadership to teams developing and delivering highly performant, scalable and cost-effective cloud-based software solutions for our clients while driving a DevOps culture. You will help produce repeatable and self-service platform solutions "as-a-service", develop federated policies and frameworks, develop reference architectures and implementations according to best practices to divisional scrum teams. You will deliver solutions that results in high quality software continuously delivered safely and securely into an optimized global cloud platform. You will collaborate with leaders across the S&P Global Technology organization to catalyze our migration to high performance cloud-based applications leveraging continuous delivery services.

This leader must have the ability to grow and develop technical talent, effectively communicate strategy and vision to executive leadership, and have the technical chops to ensure that we build compelling solutions in an iterative methodology. Success in the role requires strong people leadership, an innovative mindset, change agency, a proven track record of delivering next generation solutions and cloud products, and having a passion for enabling DevOps teams building market-leading software that leverages automation, data pipelines, cloud technologies, and continuous delivery practices.

  • The Responsibilities:
  • Drive a well-architected API, Container, Streaming Data, Data & Analytics, Cloud and Continuous Delivery platform and services in a global cloud implementation
  • Streamline the release process and drive continuous integration and delivery practices leveraging pipelines and automation
  • Act in full partnership with CIO and CTO leads to drive software continuous delivery and cloud optimization, adoption, efficiency and high performance across the enterprise
  • Responsible for DevOps and Cloud Engineering Enablement with the overall goal of dramatically improving development productivity, quality and time to market - as well as client experience metrics for availability, usability and responsiveness
  • Drive self-service, "X-as-a-service" app developer platform services for cloud apps
  • Highlight and assist CTO teams with minimization of waste and cost efficiency across all Cloud environments
  • Assist with the tracking, monitoring and analysis of Cloud performance metrics and the work with CTOs to embed them into employee performance objectives
  • Work to modernize our existing tech stacks and data platforms
  • Strong knowledge of microservices architecture implemented in the cloud
  • Strong knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CICD) pipelines
  • Effectively manage staff capacity and availability according to priorities and workload
  • Conduct performance and talent management, recruiting and compensation
  • Be a change agent and shape culture
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • 8+ years of Technology experience; Minimum of 6 years' experience in a leadership role
  • Holder of AWS Certified Solutions Architect -- Professional
  • Proven track record of developing Cloud-based applications
  • Strong application development and client facing solution development
  • Proven record of team and functional transformation , including maximizing team productivity and coaching talent development
  • Experience working and/or leading in an Agile environment - experience in Scaled Agile organizations a plus
  • Ability to lead across geographically disparate organizations
  • Extensive management of technology change in complex technology environments
  • Possess knowledge and understanding across multiple enterprise technology disciplines
  • Execution orientation with strong track record of achieving measurable results
  • Excellent project management, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to engage and influence stakeholders on complex issues
  • Master's degree in Management or Information Technology and 8+ years of relevant experience or Bachelor's in Management, Information Technology or other relevant degree and 8+ years of relevant experience
