Our client, well regarded, global investment bank seeks to add a talented and dynamic, Regulatory professional to head up the Compliance program for their Wealth Management businesses.

The Head of Wealth Management Compliance (Americas) is the senior point of contact WM Americas senior management, responsible for coordinating all aspects of advisory compliance.   Working closely with regional and global Compliance and Anti-Financial Crime colleagues in the Americas, the individual in this role will: 
• Provide senior management support to the Americas Wealth Management business units by providing advice and guidance on regulatory and policy matters;
• Supervise and manage staff supporting WM Compliance Advisory function in the Americas;
• Work with the WM business in the implementation of regulatory reform/rule change initiatives affecting the business;
• Review and sign off New Product Approval requests;
• Maintain up to date policies and procedures governing business conduct and WM compliance team responsibilities
• Work closely, cooperatively and proactively with other members of the global WM Compliance team and other US based compliance teams, in order to achieve first rate advisory coverage of the relevant businesses;
• Liaise closely with the central Compliance Surveillance and the Compliance Controls Testing (CCT) teams and provide oversight on the monitoring and testing efforts within Americas WM, working with onshore and near-shore Compliance and Operations colleagues, where required
• Liaise effectively with other control functions (e.g.  AFC, Legal, Risk ) to ensure regulatory compliance and compliance with internal policies and procedures;
• Provide periodic reports and updates regarding compliance issues to Global compliance management, regional management and the business
• Work closely with the relevant WM UK management and the Regulatory Affairs team to assist with regulatory contact and inquiries for WM UK;
• Review and analyse relevant regulatory notices; liaise and advise front line businesses to ensure compliance with regulatory developments; review and update relevant policies and procedures, where required;
• Oversee and participate in the annual Compliance Risk Assessment process, providing quality assurance sign off for WM Americas;
• Lead the implementation of global compliance strategy relevant to the region, as well as leading or coordinating specific global programs and projects on behalf of the Global Head of PWCC Compliance;
• Lead by example to help build and maintain a strong compliance culture and environment
Committee Memberships / Board Attendance
• Participate as Compliance representative on relevant committees and councils, including but not limited to WM Americas Operating Committee, WM Americas Executive Committee, WM Americas Non-Financial Risk Committee, and New Product Committees;
• Member of PWCC Compliance senior leadership team
Qualifications
• BA/BS with over 10 years of progressive compliance experience;
• Solid working knowledge of private banking/wealth management products and services;
• Ability to work effectively with senior business management and staff within a matrixes organization and engage and provide pro-active advice;
• Comprehensive knowledge of FINRA, SEC, Fed and OCC regulations especially with respect to private banking and broking and portfolio management; knowledge or European and UK regulatory environment is a plus
• Proven management experience Track record in successfully directing, managing and motivating a team with ability to communicate confidently, listen and lead
• Must be highly organized and detailed oriented and possess excellent written and oral communication skills
• Series 7 & 24 a plus
