UBS to train 5,000 wealth managers

UBS is setting up a facility in Singapore to train about 5000 existing and future wealth management staff in the years running up to 2010.

Wealthbriefing says the UBS Wealth Management Campus will open in the first quarter of 2007, a development which reflects the need for more qualified wealth managers in the Asia Pacific region.

"The campus will be training talent that UBS is recruiting from all over Asia, to prepare for expansion in the region, "says Ong Chong Tee, deputy managing director of the Monetary Authority of Singapore." The campus will also be embarking on leadership and management education.
