Make a real difference in the Port Lincoln community by managing commercial and domestic property claims from first advice through to final settlement - with autonomy, variety and strong team support.

The Opportunity

As an External Claims Adjuster with Crawford, you'll manage a diverse regional portfolio, combining technical property knowledge, investigation, problem-solving and customer service.

You'll be responsible for:

• Managing claims from initial notification through to settlement
• Inspecting damage, investigating cause and assessing the extent of loss
• Reviewing policies, claim documentation and evidence to determine coverage
• Coordinating trades, service providers and technical specialists
• Setting reserves, managing costs and making settlement recommendations
• Preparing clear, professional reports and maintaining accurate claim records
• Delivering strong customer outcomes while meeting compliance, KPI and service standards

You'll have the autonomy to manage your portfolio while being backed by an experienced, high-performing team.

What You'll Bring

Essential

• Current driver's licence
• Experience in loss adjusting, insurance claims, property, building, construction, trades or a related field
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and report writing skills
• Ability to work autonomously and maintain accurate claim documentation
• Australian/New Zealand work rights and ability to complete a police check

Desirable

• Loss adjusting experience or relevant professional qualifications
• Knowledge of insurance terminology, practices and policy conditions
• Understanding of basic business accounting procedures
• CILA membership or willingness to undertake further study
