Join a leading Australian enterprise undertaking a significant technology transformation focused on cloud, automation and AI enablement.As part of a highly skilled security engineering team, you will support the development of secure frameworks, infrastructure and controls that underpin emerging AI capabilities across the organisation. This role sits within a critical platform team responsible for securing and supporting enterprise network and cloud security services across a complex technology landscape.
Your new roleAs a Security Systems Engineer, you will play a key role supporting both BAU security engineering and strategic project initiatives, including a major AI-focused program.Working closely with security, cloud and platform engineering teams, you will help design, implement and improve secure cloud and network services while driving automation and Infrastructure as Code practices across the environment.Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting enterprise security platforms across cloud and on-premise environments
- Designing, implementing and maintaining security controls and platform services
- Developing Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform
- Contributing to security automation and self-service capabilities
- Supporting cloud security initiatives across AWS and Azure
- Providing technical advice and guidance to project and engineering teams
- Participating in platform upgrades, incident management and operational support activities
- Supporting the development of security frameworks and controls for enterprise AI initiatives
- Working closely with stakeholders to improve platform resilience, scalability and security
- Contributing to continuous improvement and strategic technology roadmaps
- Netskope administration and policy management
- Palo Alto Firewall technologies
- F5 Load Balancing and Application Security solutions
- Cloud proxy services
- AWS and Azure cloud platforms
- Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
- Security engineering within complex enterprise environments
- DevSecOps practices and secure development principles
- Software engineering or automation engineering experience
- Python scripting experience
- Cloud WAF, DDoS or CDN technologies
- Experience supporting AI, machine learning or emerging technology initiatives
- GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Copilot exposure
- Large enterprise or financial services experience
- Up to $920 + super per day
- Initial 6-month contract with strong extension potential
- Opportunity to contribute to a major AI transformation program
- Exposure to enterprise-scale AWS and Azure environments
- Access to GitHub Enterprise and Copilot tooling
