Hogan Lovells Brussels, Belgium
Associate - Corporate & Finance
Keen to become part of a truly global, collaborative team of professionals? Your journey begins here.
Hogan Lovells is driven by our clear vision: a global leader that delivers exceptional legal services in highly regulated sectors, achieving results for our clients and society.
With the combined talent of over 2,800 lawyers spanning six continents, we bring a world of relevant experience to every matter. We create clarity from complexity, and forge deep, committed client relationships in the process.
Our Brussels team was created in 2021 and continues its development. We advise on a broad range of banking and finance transactions, including debt finance, debt capital markets (including EMTNs and other programmes), structured finance operations and fund formation and transactions. We also provide sophisticated financial regulatory advice.
As Belgian lawyers, the team also represents international clients more broadly on Belgian corporate, finance and commercial law topics.
To sustain the growth of our practice in Brussels, we are now looking for an associate (2-6 years of relevant experience).
The candidate we are looking for:
(a) has obtained a masters degree in law in Belgium with excellent academic results (an international experience, such as secondments, a LL.M or an additional masters degree is a plus);
(b) has between 2 and 6 years of relevant experience in the banking & finance (or equivalent) practice group of a reputable law firm in Belgium;
(c) is native French or Dutch speaker, with a good command of the other main national language and an excellent command of English (written and spoken);
(d) has strong technical capabilities with strong project management responsibility, ensuring timely delivery to high quality standards;
(e) is willing to continue learning throughout the development of his or her career;
(f) is willing to develop relationships with clients, regulators and counterparties; and
(g) is a real team player able to work effectively with others and act as a source of advice to colleagues, willing to share knowledge and expertise.
By joining our firm and Belgian team, you will join a well-integrated team that works hand in hand with colleagues of our network (mainly from London, Amsterdam, Paris and Frankfurt, but also from other offices of our network) on high profile Belgian and international matters.
Our work environment is dynamic and allows you to be part of a truly global and inspiring law firm.
We recognize that our team members are our most valuable asset, which is reflected by the breadth of the benefits offered to our team members.
Our remuneration package is attractive and aligned with packages offered by leading international law firms in Brussels.
If you are interested, please send your CV and a cover letter by e-mail to Nicoleta Parvana (Senior HR Advisor) at nicoleta.parvana@hoganlovells.com. If you know one of our team members, please also feel free to reach out directly by email, phone or through LinkedIn. The confidentiality of our discussions is guaranteed and our recruitment process offers equal opportunities to all, without discriminating on the basis of race, colour, gender, sexual orientation, religion, origin, disability or any other protected characteristic.
