We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to provide temporary coverage within the LATAM Payroll team during a planned team absence.
This role will focus on supporting payroll operations across multiple LATAM countries, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while collaborating with internal partners and external vendors.
The position is ideal for a hands-on payroll professional who can quickly adapt to established processes and take ownership of assigned payroll activities in a multifaceted, multi-country environment.

This role will focus on supporting payroll operations across multiple LATAM countries, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while collaborating with internal partners and external vendors.
The position is ideal for a hands-on payroll professional who can quickly adapt to established processes and take ownership of assigned payroll activities in a multifaceted, multi-country environment.
The contract is expected to be 8 months, including:
- Initial transition and knowledge transfer period
- Full operational coverage during the leave
- Handover period upon return
- Support end-to-end payroll processing (bi-weekly and monthly) for assigned LATAM countries.
- Perform payroll inputs, validations, audits, and post-payroll activities to help ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery.
- Collaborate with payroll vendors and internal partners to support high-quality payroll operations.
- Respond to payroll inquiries and assist in resolving employee-related payroll matters.
- Reconcile payroll outputs, including third-party payments and statutory deductions.
- Contribute to general ledger reconciliations and payroll accounting activities.
- Support month-end and year-end payroll processes.
- Maintain and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) to promote knowledge sharing and process consistency.
- Help ensure compliance with local payroll regulations and internal controls.
- Partner with colleagues across the LATAM Payroll team to support evolving business and operational needs.
Experience & Skills
- 3+ years of experience in payroll, preferably within LATAM
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, statutory requirements, and vendor management
- Experience with human capital (Workday) and payroll systems
- Advanced Excel skills (reconciliations, data handling)
- Ability to handle multiple deadlines and priorities
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good interpersonal skills in English and Spanish
- • Experience in multi-country LATAM payroll environments
- • Exposure to payroll transitions or knowledge transfer processes
- • Experience working in a shared services environment
- • Portuguese language skills (not required)
- Strong execution and operational attitude
- Ability to ramp up quickly and work with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to support countries based on team needs
- High level of accountability and ownership
- Teammate with adaptability in a changing environment
