A leading international financial services firm in Paris is seeking a Compliance Manager to oversee regulatory compliance, market conduct monitoring, and compliance risk management within a dynamic capital markets environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor client compliance matters, including service suitability and product eligibility in line with MiFID II requirements
- Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, including MiFID II, MiFIR, and MAR
- Conduct market activity surveillance and monitor trading-related compliance risks
- Maintain and update the compliance control framework and related procedures
- Monitor adherence to internal and external regulatory requirements, including ACPR obligations
- Perform regulatory watch activities and identify emerging compliance risks
- Assess non-compliance risks and integrate findings into the broader risk mapping framework
- Support and guide junior team members and contribute to resolving complex compliance matters
- Conduct detailed reviews and translate findings into actionable process improvements
- Track remediation actions and ensure implementation of corrective measures
- Contribute to the digitalization and automation of compliance processes, including the use of AI-driven tools
Requirements
- Degree in Business, Law, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in control or compliance functions within an investment firm environment
- At least 4 years of senior-level compliance experience with team coordination or supervisory responsibilities
- Strong understanding of financial markets and order execution activities
- Solid knowledge of European financial regulations, including MiFID II, MiFIR, and MAR
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and process improvement capabilities
- Experience in audit is considered an advantage
- Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills
- Autonomous, reliable, and highly detail-oriented working style
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in French and English
