Description & Requirements
Internship, Investment Bank, Equity Research, Hamburg, Start Date October 2026
We are looking for an English and German speaker to support our Equity Research team in Hamburg ideally for three months, full time as of October 2026
Our Sell-Side Equity Research team is part of the Investment Bank Division and takes responsibility for all our activity across Continental Europe. The department is responsible for the coverage of publicly listed companies in the Eurozone and the Nordic region and has built a strong reputation, being the largest research provider in the DACH region with growing presence in Europe and the US.
The team in Hamburg offers a modern, dynamic and ambitious working environment. The team is highly successful, demonstrated by multiple prestigious awards that Berenberg won in the Small and Mid Cap equity research industry in recent years. You will benefit from direct exposure on valuating companies, building financial models and interact with our industry leaders.
During your internship in the research team, a three months program starting in January, you will also be directly working together with our London-based analysts and the whole EU Small and Mid Cap team. As all your colleagues in the Investment Banking team, you will be working in the office during work hours, hereby allowing you to fully integrate in our collaboration-driven team composition, be fully involved in our live mandates and pitches, and eventually become a vital part of your colleagues' day-to-day business.
What will you do?
Who are we looking for?
What we offer you:
Apply online now with your complete application documents, including a certificate of enrolment stating your semester of study. If you are a national of a country outside the European Economic Area, please send us your residence and work permit - we look forward to receiving your application!
We are a leading European private bank, with over 430 years of experience and deep rooted history, but we are still shaping and heavily investing in our future. Our progress and evolution are driven by our people. We encourage them to try new approaches, voice their opinions and achieve success in their own way.
We provide opportunities for them to develop their talents, explore different career paths and achieve their full potential.
We're an ambitious, forward-looking business, backed by centuries of tradition and built on innovation. You'll find a culture that encourages people to think independently, act entrepreneurially and challenge the status quo.
We place great importance on working on site, as we believe that being together in the office not only fosters creativity and efficiency, but also strengthens networks and builds trusting, collegial relationships. For us, this forms the foundation for productive and successful work. Together we collaborate to shape our business and fulfil our ambitious goals.
We welcome you to join us in our commitment to always do the right thing for our people, clients and our business - Our future is where you take us!
