Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Job Objective

This role is responsible for supporting the Hong Kong Group Ops Capability Center (GOCC) team and Journey team in driving the AI initiatives and automations in the bank operations back-office. This role aims to drive productivity improvements, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure seamless integration of AI-based solutions within the organization.

Principal Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and management of AI-powered co-pilot initiatives in the banking operations back-office. Drives innovation in HK Ops with GenAI and Agentic AI.
• Act as the primary point of contact between different lines of business, ops, tech, and relevant third parties to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
• Communicate the strategies and objectives of the AI initiatives to relevant departments and colleagues, ensuring alignment and buy-in.
• Identify potential risks and challenges associated with the implementation of AI-based changes, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Oversee the sensitive and seamless implementation of AI-powered solutions, minimizing disruption to ongoing operations.
• Provide technical support and oversight for any technology-related issues that may arise during the implementation and operation of the AI initiatives.
• Support the team lead to manage the initiative, project budget, ensuring efficient utilization of resources.

Key Accountabilities

• Discover and define productivity-saving opportunities within the banking operations back-office through the effective deployment of AI-powered solutions.
• Deliver the targeted productivity savings through the successful implementation of AI initiatives, with a focus on effective change management.
• Facilitate seamless collaboration and communication between business, technology, operations, and senior management throughout the initiative lifecycle.
• Ensure the smooth development and implementation of AI initiatives, and provide regular status updates to senior management.

Relevant Experience

• Experience in project management, stakeholder management, and change management in the context of technology-driven transformations.
• Strong understanding of banking operations, processes, and IT infrastructure.

Functional / Technical Competencies

• Proficient in AI/ML technologies, including their application and integration for operations.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and address operational challenges through AI-powered solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tight timelines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

Education and Professional Qualification

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information System, Operations Management, BBA, or a related technical field, with a focus on AI/ML.
• Professional certifications in AI, machine learning, or project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are an advantage.
