We Are Seeking: Core DevOps Engineer
This role focuses on building and supporting the platforms, tooling, and infrastructure that enable developers, traders, and technology teams to operate efficiently at scale.
You will work across cloud and on-premises environments, helping to improve developer productivity, platform reliability, automation, and operational excellence.
Previous experience within buy-side firms, hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, or other performance-sensitive environments is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement platform tooling and infrastructure to improve reliability and developer productivity
- Build, automate, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and release processes
- Manage environment deployments, upgrades, and migrations
- Partner with engineering teams to ensure systems perform reliably in production
- Build tools, APIs, and automation to reduce operational overhead
- Improve monitoring, observability, alerting, and operational readiness
- Develop and maintain integrations with internal platforms and services
Requirements
- Experience operating infrastructure across hybrid environments (AWS and on-premises)
- Strong experience with Kubernetes (preferably EKS)
- Good understanding of AWS services, including:
- EC2
- VPC networking
- Load balancing
- Strong Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Terraform, OpenTofu, or similar)
- Good scripting skills across Linux & Windows environments
- Strong Python experience
- Good understanding of Git and software development workflows
- Experience working within mature CI/CD environments
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on automation
Highly Relevant Experience
- Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as:
- Prometheus
- Grafana
- Elasticsearch
- Splunk
- Coralogix
- Exposure to C/C++, Make, or CMake-based build environments
- Experience building internal developer platforms or self-service tooling
- Supporting production systems in high-availability environments
- Experience within trading, financial services, or other performance-critical industries
