Role Overview
The Deputy Head reports to senior executive management and supervises teams managing wealth management, private banking, and retail banking operations. Success in this role involves driving product development, overseeing regulatory compliance, and leading senior teams to attain business and financial targets.
Key Skills & Experience
- Define and execute the end-to-end business strategy for Wealth Management
- Oversee the development, sourcing, and positioning of wealth management products
- Lead, motivate, and upscale the sales force including Relationship Managers and Investment Consultants
- Maintain a stringent risk management framework ensuring compliance with HKMA, SFC, and other regulators
- Formulate targeted value propositions for high-net-worth and affluent customer segments

Key Responsibilities
- Steer the strategic direction, growth, and profitability of the bank’s wealth management business
- Drive digital transformation to enhance the online wealth platform and customer journey
- Ensure portfolio management and advisory excellence
- Maintain regulatory compliance across all activities
- Drive AUM growth and customer acquisition through targeted propositions
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or above in Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 15–20 years of solid experience in retail banking, wealth management, or private banking, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial capacity
- Meeting HKMA and SFC criteria for Executive Officer (EO) / Responsible Officer (RO) status
- Proven success in managing a sizable P&L, driving AUM growth, and leading large, high-performing teams
- Deep understanding of Hong Kong regulatory landscape (HKMA & SFC guidelines are a must)
- Professional designations such as CFP, CFA, or FRM are highly advantageous
- Strong visionary mindset, stakeholder management, and excellent communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)
This role is based on-site in Asia, with a permanent employment type. The position duration is two weeks, starting from 29/07/2026.
