About the Role – We are seeking a motivated, tech-savvy, and detail-oriented intern to join our Fixed Income team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between traditional credit research and financial technology. You will play a key role in leveraging AI tools and Python programming to automate data workflows, alongside supporting investment professionals in fundamental credit analysis and investment processes.

Key Responsibilities –

1. Data Automation & AI Integration: Utilize Programming skills and AI productivity tools to design and implement automation solutions for day-to-day workflows and facilitate investment decision-makings. Expected application scenarios include:
2. AI-Driven Information Workflows: Leveraging Microsoft Copilot and other LLM tools to automate the screening, classification, and scheduled summarization and analysis of high-volume group emails and market communications, including research and pricing materials.
3. Data Engineering & Reporting: Utilize Programming skills for automated data collection, aggregation, and quantitative calculation in research/regulatory/internal reporting processes.
4. Deep dive into the team’s daily investment, research, operation processes to observe, diagnose, and identify friction points or manual bottlenecks ripe for automation.
5. Credit & Financial Modelling: Assist in maintaining and upgrading earnings, valuation, and internal credit rating models.
6. Credit Research Support: Conduct data collection and analysis on rating reports, market statistics, and financial statements to support credit research and identify investment opportunities.
7. Market Monitoring: Monitor new credit investment opportunities and new issuances, and update internal trade lists and coverage universes.
8. Investment Insights: Attend team meetings, prepare concise research summaries, and learn to generate investment ideas and credit recommendations under senior guidance.

Who We Are Looking For –

1. Current students in Computer Science, Data Science, Financial Engineering, Finance or related disciplines.
2. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python is highly preferred, with hands-on experience in using Python/AI tools for data processing and workflow automation. Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal is a plus.
3. AI & Prompt Engineering: Hands-on experience with AI productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) and prompt engineering, with a proven ability to design automated workflows for text classification, information extraction, and synthesis.
4. Financial Knowledge: Basic understanding of financial statements and corporate finance; familiarity with fixed income concepts or credit analysis is a plus.
5. Soft Skills: Genuine passion for the fixed income market, strong willingness to learn, high attention to detail, and a proactive mindset toward problem-solving.
6. Language Proficiency: Fluent in Mandarin and English (spoken), with excellent written Chinese and English.
7. Immediately available.
