- Manage and support enterprise compute and storage platforms to ensure high availability and performance.
- Administer virtualisation environments and underlying infrastructure.
- Perform capacity planning, performance monitoring, and system optimisation.
- Implement infrastructure upgrades, patches, and technology refresh initiatives.
- Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and coordinate resolution with internal and external teams.
- Participate in infrastructure design, testing, and deployment activities.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and standards.
- Support security, risk, and compliance requirements across infrastructure platforms.
- Participate in on-call support and scheduled maintenance activities when required.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure administration and support.
- Solid experience with enterprise server platforms, virtualisation technologies, and storage systems.
- Good understanding of Windows and/or Linux server environments.
- Experience with backup, monitoring, and infrastructure management tools.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and load balancing concepts.
- Exposure to cloud services and hybrid infrastructure environments is advantageous.
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation and scripting is a plus.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Experience
- Virtualisation platforms (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, or similar).
- Enterprise storage technologies (SAN, NAS, Object Storage).
- Public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools.
- High-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
